Builder's notes:

• I had to adjust some of the pre-cut slots around the perimeter of the turtledeck support bulkheads, and added the saddle gussets of my own making - ¼-inch thick plywood - for additional strength where the stringers pass through.

• Note the horizontal slots near the top of the rear cockpit bulkhead. These are to pass the shoulder harness webs back through to their anchor points in the aft section under the turtledeck. I managed to get these slots in the wrong position. There are two sub-drawings on one of the blueprints - one for the front cockpit rear bulkhead, and one for this. They are similar, but the slot placement is different. Pick the right one! I had to cut into some of the supporting structure for the rear cockpit bulkhead to get the webs to pass through correctly.

• I added additional corner blocking where the turtledeck bulkheads cross the upper truss members.

• Use sandpaper to fare the scalloped edges of the curved covering plywood at the front and aft ends of the turtledeck structure to a thin edge, to avoid ridges under the fabric later. If there are any low spots in the plywood, fill them in with bondo.
