Builder's notes:

• Get a pair of wire twisting pliers and a supply of the three gages of stainless steel safety wire and practice! It's a skill you'll use a lot on the engine. It has a few applications elsewhere in the airplane, too.

• Care is needed when tightening the propeller bolts. Use a torque wrench and follow the propeller manufacturer's recommendation for torque values. Wooden props are made from hardwood, but it doesn't take much effort to over-torque and cause the crush plate to break the finish surface and the wood fibers, allowing entry of moisture and subsequent degradation of the propeller.
