Namgyal Buddhist Monastery
Namgyal Monastery Institute of Buddhist Studies offers Western students the opportunity to study Tibetan Buddhism in an authentic monastic setting. it is located in the heart of Ithaca at 412 North Aurora Street.


CURW Buddhist Meditation
Tibetan Buddhist meditation occurs from 12:15-1 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the Founders Room, Anabel Taylor Hall. Zen Buddhist meditation occurs from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in the Founders Room, Anabel Taylor Hall.

Cedar Cabin Sangha
This buddhist practice group meets each week for mindfulness meditation and study. Anyone is welcome to join us for sitting and walking meditation, tea sharing and discussion.  Our practice is guided by the engaged buddhism teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh.  We meet on Wednesday evenings, from 7:30-9:00 p.m., in the lower room at Hospicare, 172 East King Road just south of Ithaca College. First Unitarian Buddhist Meditation Sangha

Many Moons, Mindful Movement for the Modern Mature Woman
Donna DeLuca leads this class at Island Health every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It is an unusual combo of simple, nonimpact, multicultural aerobic dance, yoga, and meditation/visualization.  It's very accessible, has a terrific group of all sizes and shapes of mature women, and is a lot of healthy fun. If you are not a member of Island Health, you can get a day pass for $10 to all amenities.
