A Hanging, How Did It Happen



A man hung himself in an enclosed room with no windows.  
The only door was locked, from the inside, and there was
no furniture in the room, in fact, there was nothing in 
the room at all,  except the hanging body and a puddle of 
water on the floor.  The rafter he was hanging on was over
12 feet high, and the man only 5 foot 2 inches tall.  How 
did he hang himself?

He stood on a large block of ice, tied the rope to the
rafter, put the noose around his neck, and then jumped off.
