Welcome to the homepage of Carol A. Henry, local historian and writer of various genre. Currently Carol is the Vice President of the Southern Tier Authors of Romance (STAR). STAR is a chapter of Romance Writers of America (RWA), where Carol is a member with Pro status. To learn more about STAR, check out Carol's "Romance" site.

Carol took an early retirement from Cornell University to pursue her writing career and live the 'writer's dream', and she hasn't looked back. In 2001, she started the South Central New York Shoptalk, affiliated with the Society of Children’s Writers and Illustrators. But even before that, way back in 1991, she co-founded and is still president of the Write Now Club, a local writing group covering several counties in New York State. She also owns Carol A. Henry Ink, a desktop publishing company through which she publishes local history books.

Carol has been a freelance writer photo/journalist and travel contributor for over 25 years, writing for both local and major newspapers and national magazines even while she was still working full time. The majority of her time is now spent either traveling the globe and writing about her many exploits, or plotting and polishing her manuscripts of romantic suspense, with a bit of adventure thrown in.
