Christopher J. Anderson studied political science at the University of Cologne, Virginia Tech, and Washington University in St.Louis, where he received his PhD. A native of Germany, he teaches courses on comparative and European politics. His research examines the micro-foundations of democracy and political economy. Current research projects investigate the connection between welfare state policies and political behavior with the help of multilevel models that link macro-political conditions and individual cognition and behavior.
