Dan is a PhD student in the Department of Natural Resources at Cornell University. He began studying here with Dr. Paul Curtis in August 2005. His dissertation research focuses on coyote (Canis latrans) ecology and behavior in suburban areas of New York State. This research serves to advance our understanding of human-coyote interactions, and potential for negative outcomes. In general, current research interests include behavioral and spatial ecology, survivorship and demographics, geographic information systems, urban carnivore issues, and the practical application of current research in wildlife management and conservation.
