Kurt teaches Swing Dance and Ballroom Dance at Cornell University, in the Physical Education Department. The founder of ithacadance, he teaches Latin Dance, Ballroom and Swing off-campus as well. He offers private lessons in his Cayuga Heights studio.

Born in Highland Park NJ, Kurt graduated Cornell '70 B.A., Ithaca College '82 M.M. Music Ed. (Voice,Piano). He brings the perspective of a musicain, composer, and professionally trained educator to dance instruction. He led the retro-rock band THE CORVETTES for 15 years, and has been couples dancing for 14 years. He is founder/ producer/ DJ for 93.5 WVBR SATURDAY SWING radio show (1pm-3pm). He also founded the CSMA (Ithaca Community School Of Music & Art) WHITON CHORALE, and directed it for four years. Let's not forget ten glorious years giving hundreds of workshops in songwriting at Central New NY public schools, and writing a whole lot of songs. Iska received a B.S. from the University at Albany and a J.D. from Cornell ('94). She may be one of many lawyers in Ithaca , but surely the only one who also teaches dance! She started dancing at age 7 and hasn't stopped yet. In addition to partner dance, which she started in 1999, she has studied ballet, jazz, belly dance, modern dance and theatre arts. She teaches ballroom dance on campus and offers private lessons in swing, ballroom and Latin. She especially enjoys introducing students and dance enthusiasts to this joyous art form.

Kurt & Iska are founders of Ithaca Social Dance, a group popularizing mixer dances with a variety of social dance styles downtown in Ithaca, all monies donated to charity.
