World Ball , 7:30-10:30 pm at Helen Newman Dance Studio (For fun or to make up missed classes; bring your friends!) |
The 12 regular classes add to 18 hours of instruction.
For Credit: If you are taking the course for credit, you may miss one class, so you must take eleven classes to receive a grade of "pass" and avoid paying the PE department penalty fee.
Not For Credit: If you are not taking the course for credit, you may miss 3 classes, so you must attend 9 classes to avoid paying the PE department penalty fee.
This is policy of the Physical Education Department. Medical, religious, or other excuses do not entitle you to additional absences. Any additional absences must be made up to avoid penalty.
Both at the beginning and again at the end of each class, attendance sheets will be placed on the table by the sound system. You must initial the space by your name to get credit for attendance. If you arrive late or leave early, that counts as missing half of a class. Your total absences will appear on the attendance sheet. If in doubt, e-mail Marguerite for your total.
Although the attendance policy is strictly enforced, there are many opportunities to make up for missed classes:
A. The World Ball on Sunday May 7th can count for up to two missed classes, depending on how long you stay. BE SURE TO SIGN IN ON THE MAKE-UP ATTENDANCE FORM so your attendance will be recorded!!
B. You can make up classes one at a time by attending any of the 90-minute classes listed below. BE SURE TO SIGN IN ON THE MAKE-UP ATTENDANCE FORM so your attendance will be recorded!! If you know in advance that you will have to miss a class, try to attend Marguerite's Monday class the day after, and you will get the same material you would have had on Sunday.
