The Chemise Commision
Well, this all started in 2004, at Pennsic to be precise. A "small" commission of a chemise.
It was stipulated that the product was to be like my "Flemish" smock. I should mention that my "Flemish" smock is made of a medium weight linen and on the sleeves is a panel of Punto Tagliato lace that extends the length of the arm. Additionally, it is entirely hand sewn.
So right there you can forget "small", "simple" or "quick".
I must add that most of my commissions do not take years. Modern life has given me a few challenges to work around, 1 sprained thumb (x4), 2 broken ribs, and two weddings to plan and participate in. I've been a little more busy than average.
So here's the chronicle of how this "little" project has progressed... so far.
