Bought the new CD from Sum 41 recently. Haven't had the chance to listen to it a whole lot, but like what I have heard so far. I guess the best way to describe it is, it's music that kids of today are listening to, made by kids of today. Make sense? It's good, upbeat, noisy, power-pop-punk type of music. Oddly enough, some of the vocal melodies reminded me of Cheap Trick in a way.

Okay, so August has been a pretty lame month for posting in the Soapbox, admittedly. But, I've also been very busy. After much perseverance & hard work, we FINALLY moved into our new house during the first week of the month. Buying a house was a very long, & sometimes difficult process, but in all honesty, in the end it was worth every bit of it. (See pics of the new house here.) We've been there just about two weeks now, & being the pros we are at settling in (ten moves in the last ten years, I think that qualifies us for some kind of masochistic award, don't you think??), we're almost completely unpacked & set up. There's still work to be done, but it will be an enjoyable process, especially after the summer heat passes by. Did I mention that the day we moved was 95 degrees & 100% humidity? Loads of fun that was. Just the same, I feel like getting "Home Owner" tattooed on my arm now. _________________________________________________________________________
