Can you believe that what used to something so simple has now come to this? It's not that I'm stupid or insensitive, it's just that our culture tries so hard to do the "right thing," that we go too far & alienate everyone. Sad...

New music update - new things that I've bought that you should be buying for yourself:

Foo Fighters - "One by One"  Great, great album. Lead-off single "All my life" sets the tone for an album's worth of soon to be Dave Grohl classics. This guy cannot write a bad song, as I've said before. Buy this album.

Peter Gabriel - "Up"   Haven't had the time to devote to this one that it's going to require, although preliminary listens indicate some great material here.

Beck - "Sea Change"   Somewhat of a mood change for Mr. Eccentric. The overall tone of the songs are somewhat more mellow & Beck himself has described this as more of a "folk album." Not quite "Odelay," but still worth listening to.

30 Seconds to Mars - "30 Seconds to Mars"   Fronted by actor Jared Leto, this is an interesting find. Personally, I like it, even if the production is a bit over the top at times. Co-produced by Bob Ezrin (he produced Kiss' "Destroyer" & Pink Floyd's "The Wall"), the album is sort of a "nu-metal" (I hate that term) type of thing. I think Leto's vocals are good, even though they're all layered with effects. This is something different worth giving a listen.

Queens of the Stone Age - "Songs for the Deaf"   What a kick-ass album. Very solid tunes that rock. BUY THIS ALBUM.

Phish - "Live, 10/31/94"   This is the live 4-CD set where they perform the entire "White Album" by The Beatles. Very cool.

The Donnas - "Spend the Night"   Very clever lyrics, saturated with hooks, these chicks rock. Their style of music & vocals remind me of a cross between The Ramones & Kiss. With tongue planted firmly in cheek, these ladies have recorded a great album full of tunes that once they get in your head, get stuck there. You have to love a band that's been together since the 8th grade & already recorded 5 albums together, & they're all only 23 years old. Great power pop, very fun stuff. Buy this album.

Red Moth Fusion - this could be the new name for what used to be RASH. I love this name.
