RASH: The Women Who Made It All Happen

In order from left: Sandra Rozwod, Kathryn Coldren, Dianne Jakubowski, Suzie O'Malley

You've heard the old saying that behind every great man is a woman, right? Well, in this case it was accurate. Without the constant love & support of these four women, RASH would not have existed. They sat crammed in cars full of band gear & drove for hours across the state. They endured marathon practice sessions for hours on end. They listened to the same songs played over & over again. They always were honest with either praise or criticism. They never told us that we sucked. These are the women we love. And without them, we would have never been a band.

Kathryn Coldren - Kathryn was the only person who hung around for our practices at first. She was open & honest. She gave us a lot of good ideas, & even helped write the lyrics to "Dirty Joan." She was the one who told me that if I didn't buy my drum kit when I did, I'd regret it forever. She was right. She's my biggest & best source of inspiration. She's never complained about having her home invaded by drunken fools armed with guitars & amps. She's a great sport, & I love her dearly. I would never had pulled off becoming a drummer without her. If you didn't already notice from the page about her, Kathryn is an alumni of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority from SUNY Potsdam.

Suzie O'Malley - Suzie & Chewie have been together since early 1997 & have been married since August of 2000. She's a great girl who always came to a RASH session with a big smile. She's accurately referred to RASH as "Boys with their toys." She's always been very supportive of Chewie & the band. She's also the biggest fan of our rendition of "Blister In The Sun." Suzie is an alumni of Zeta Gamma Sigma Sorority from SUNY Potsdam.

Sandra Rozwod - Sandra & Roz have been together since the fall of 1996. They were married in July of 1999. It was really great to be around to watch their relationship evolve into a terrific marriage. Sandra even had agood enough sense of humor to help throw muffins into the crowd during our gig at Toaphstock. She's a very special lady who makes Roz very happy.

Diane Jakubowski - Diane & Jake have been together since late summer of 1998 & are now living in Milwaukee, WI. They were married in June of 2002. Diane first got introduced into the RASH camp at our gig at The Brokedown Palace. She fit right in with the rest of us, & has become a permanent member of the extended RASH family. Diane may be quiet, but don't let that fool you because she's got a very sharp wit. Although Jake may not come out & say it, I've never seen him happier with anyone else.
