Fun Stuff

My family is my top priority, so when I'm not working I like to spend as much time as possible with my wife Melanie and our son Tommy (he just turned 4 in February). We enjoy outdoor activities in all seasons, working around the house, and gardening.

I enjoy woodworking, and I have a nice woodshop set up in the old hayloft of the little red barn out back.  Projects range from the utilitarian to the whimsical.  I find that whimsy is usually more fun and always more forgiving.

I started running marathons about seven years ago as a way to challenge myself.  I usually participate (notice I don’t say “compete”) in one or two races each year.  There is simply no better place to train than along the hills, trails, and byways of Ithaca, NY. Ithaca is Gorges!

I'm currently training for my 11th race, the Steamtown Marathon in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Tommy wants me to run it so we can visit the train museum afterward.
