The subject is another minor character, You Er-je's younger sister, You San-je. Her character is far more stubborn and strong willed. She falls for a man whom she barely knew. He proposes to her, handing her his only valuable possession, a pair of swords, as a marriage oath. However, the man began to question why a beautiful young woman would go for someone like him. He concludes that the girl must be flawed, and withdrawls his marriage proposal, asking for the swords to be returned. You Er-je personally confronts him. As she hands back one of the swords, she draws the other sword from behind her back and kills herself.
