Title: Moving to America Medium:Colored Pencil on Board Size: 12"X18" Comments: This is one of the first pieces that I did after moving to the United States. It is suppose to portray the kind of emotion that a person feels when they move. The child is me when I was young. The symbol of youth represents a sort of helplessness. The wilderness is the unknown, and the child in the wilderness represents the feeling of being lost. The bed sums up the idea by saying that the child is lost yet she is in the comfort of her own bed.
